A Flowing River!

Jennifer and Gary get a ride to Andhra PradeshIn March of 2010, Kingdom of Grace took a trip to Andhra Pradesh, India, where we were led to work with a particular village. Within this area, there are a total of six villages and not one of them had a well…until now! After spending time in these villages, we knew that we were to put a well in each of the six villages—and we are happy to report that the first one has been completed!

The first wellThe first well was dug in a gypsy village and was very successful with a good water yield. The leader of HAO Ministries, Dr. Abraham, whose ministry has dug over 400 wells, had this to say about the well: “Even during my experience I have not witnessed such a tremendous water flow, it is more or less a flowing river. The gypsy villagers are very excited and joyous celebrations were held throughout the village. They were praising and dancing with great joy! There are no words to express their gratitude, as this is the greatest achievement of their lifetime."

What started out as simply digging a well has turned into a bigger project that will provide even more water for the villagers. Because there was such a successful yield of water flow, the well was brought to the attention of the Indian government—and they have decided to provide electricity to the village so that a motorized jet water pump can be used to pump the water! A protected water tank is also being installed so the villagers can come and get safe drinking water at any time.

The work of the wells that began in this group of six villages has now resulted in the vision being expanded to another four rural villages where work has already begun. There are thousands of villages without safe drinking water and it is our goal to supply needed water wherever the Lord leads us.

Villagers in the canal Excited children play in the canal
While drilling the well, there was no way to control to the flush of water, so the villagers dug out a small canal
(about ½ kilometer) for the water to flow.

A Village Changed…FOREVER!

Very happy villagers playing in the water right after the inauguration of the well

The successful bore-well in the Dalit Labor Colony. Here are some very happy villagers playing in the water right after the well's inauguration.

When you first enter this village in the Nalgonda district, the road divides into two groups of people. On the left is the upper caste colony that consists mostly of Hindus. Within this village, the government has provided a school, a drinking bore-well and water tank. Many government programs will go towards developing this upper caste colony.

On the right side is the Dalit Labor Colony (the Untouchables) where there are about 50 Christians. Within this village, there is no school (aside from a very small one for little children), no drinking water, no health facilities and no government welfare programs. This is one of the villages where the Lord led us to drill a well. Previously, the only water that was available to this village was 1½ kilometers away since they were not allowed to draw water from the upper caste colony’s well.

Now, for the first time, this Dalit village has a well that will provide good, tasty and safe drinking water for hundreds of people in the village. Within the first few hours of the bore-well being completed, 200-250 pots of water were drawn. In fact, even people from the upper caste colony were coming to get water from this well as the water is so sweet and tasty!

Digging Wells

Prior to going to India, we knew we were called to work in the rural villages among the Dalits (the Broken People) to bring them their most basic needs, both spiritually and physically. While we were there working in an area that consisted of six villages, we came to find out that there was not one well in the entire area. This is where God’s vision to us of clean, safe, drinking water began to be fulfilled. These six villages are representative of the thousands all across India.

The Reality Behind the Beauty — Six Villages and Not One Well

Gypsy Dalit women fetching water

When you first look at this photo you may think 'what a beautiful picture', but there is a harsh reality behind the beauty. These Gypsy Dalit women have to walk a total of 2 miles per trip to get polluted water from an irrigation pipe. They make this trip, carrying water on their heads, 10-15 times a day, 365 days a year, every year of their life.

Little Gypsy Dalit girl

This is her future for the next 30, 40 or 50+ years unless someone changes it

The simple solution is to dig six wells for six villages. These wells are currently being dug, and they are just the beginning, as there are thousands of villages like these who are in need of fresh water. By giving them a well, we are not only giving them clean water to drink, but also giving them a new life.

One well: $1,200 = a village changed forever.

Providing Food for the Malnourished

Providing Food for the MalnourshedMany months before our first trip to India, we knew that God wanted us to provide food for malnourished children. Because of the difficulties and cost of importing food into India, we are now working together with our native ministry partners to combine locally grown (and readily available) food staples that will be mixed with the vitamins needed for optimal growth, health and disease prevention. Once developed, one daily serving of this food will provide all the daily vitamins needed for malnourished children.

When this process is complete, we will begin to introduce this food to the villages we are working among. Our long-term vision is to build a manufacturing facility within a village where the food and the vitamins are combined, packaged and distributed to those in need. This would result in providing food for the malnourished and create jobs among the local villagers.

Supporting Native Pastors

Pastor Daniel

Native pastors and ministries are crucial for the gospel to reach the lost. Two such native pastors are Soliappan and Daniel. While we were in India, we were able to work along side of these two pastors and share the gospel with approximately 200 of the Dalit villagers. We experienced firsthand the importance of working along side native pastors for the work of the gospel to spread throughout India. Because there are no (or very few) cultural barriers to overcome, the native pastors have a great advantage in preaching the gospel.

Pastor Daniel works in eight remote villages (approximately 2,000 people), covering 93 miles going from village to village in caring for the poor and planting churches. Daniel was called by God through Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."

Pastor Daniel

Pastor Soliappan planted and pastors three churches and visits six other villages, traveling over 103 miles from village to village. Soliappan was called by God to work in the remote areas of Andhra Pradesh. He responded to the call, quit his job and went into fulltime ministry.

The villages that Soliappan and Daniel work among are the same villages where we’ve begun the work of Digging Wells, Child Sponsorship and Feeding the Hungry.

Bringing Hope to One Child at a Time…

After returning from India, we began corresponding with our ministry partners HAO and DGM about starting a Child Sponsorship program. Within two months, we had a building (complete with renovations), a staff and the first 25 children identified for sponsorship. This is just the beginning—there are thousands of children in need of sponsorship. We will be adding children as we go and as sponsors become available.

$20 per month provides:

  • 3 nutritious meals a day
  • Clean water
  • Shelter
  • Staff (an Overseer, a Study Supervisor, and a Cook)
  • Medical care

  • School fees/education
  • Clothing
  • Books and school bags
  • Plates
  • Glasses

All the children below come from the poorest of families in the remote and rural areas of Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh, India. These children and their families suffer extreme hardship as a way of life and often go hungry. Through sponsorship, they are taken in, nurtured in a Christian community and cared for irrespective of caste, creed, or culture.

Tips on Writing to Your Sponsored Child

A simple letter is all it takes to put hope in the heart of your sponsored child. Children eagerly look forward to receiving letters and enjoy writing back. Cards, letters and photographs become prized possessions and through an exchange of thoughts and ideas, you can inspire a child's self-esteem and foster a desire for learning.

Before You Start

Learn About Your Child.
A child’s culture provides insight into their way of life. It’s helpful to read about the regional feasts, holidays and celebrations and even learn a few words in your child's language. Also learning about the geography, community structure, social beliefs and the country history will give you a better understanding of your child's background and benefit your relationship with him/her.

Each sponsor is provided with a detailed description of the child's community and local activities.

The Basics of Good Letter Writing

Short, Simple Messages are Best.
Most likely, your child does not speak your language. Write clearly to avoid confusion in interpretation. Short sentences and simple words are easier for the children to understand and for the staff to translate.

Keep Your Messages Positive.
Your letters should be warm and friendly. When you write a letter, make it an experience for the child, and focus on things such as:

  • Your favorite memories in school and with family
  • Family details
  • Hobbies

Ask open-ended questions, such as:

  • What do you do on a normal day?
  • What games or activities do you enjoy?
  • Tell me about your family and friends.
  • Will you send me a picture of your home or town?
  • What are your favorite holidays? How do you celebrate them?
  • Tell me about your favorite places.

Asking questions makes it easier for your child to respond. Keeping your letters to 2 or 3 questions makes it easier, as too many questions can be overwhelming.

Your Letters Will Be Answered.
Kingdom of Grace and HAO have a system for keeping track of all correspondence. If a child is too young to write, the zonal officer will write on behalf the child.

Sending Gifts
Want to include a gift for your child? Think flat.

  • Drawings
  • Family photographs/postcards
  • Poems or stories
  • Coloring book pages
  • Origami paper
  • Preprinted pages for children to fill out
  • Send the sponsor fun materials, such as origami paper and instructions or flash cards that translate words from their language to yours
  • Try to obtain translations and revisions of classic stories in your sponsor's language.

Never include anything of value. Always use plain manila or white envelopes and keep external writing non-descript.

Some Important Things to Remember
A caring heart very rarely offends, so be at ease when you write. The following are simply a few suggestions and precautions to bear in mind when writing to a child in a foreign country.

  • Be careful with your wording. Phrases like 'my dear' and 'love' can be too intimate in some cultures.
  • It’s better to avoid writing about material possessions and other topics that emphasize the difference between your circumstances and your child's.
  • Avoid asking questions that could be embarrassing or too sensitive to the child, such as 'why do you live far away from your parents?'
  • It's OK to express your faith or beliefs, just try not to influence your child's faith. Kingdom of Grace and HAO's sponsorships are open to all children without regard to background, religion or social and family structures. We respect the cultures of the local communities in which we serve.
  • We are always willing to help in interpreting cultural differences.
  • The translators do not change the content of the letters, but should it be necessary, letters may be edited.

By exchanging correspondence with your sponsored child, you build a relationship that can mean a lot to each of you and even last a lifetime.

Child Sponsorship Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Child Sponsorship?

Child Sponsorship is the commitment you, as a sponsor, make to change the life of a poor and needy child and his or her community through regular contributions. It is a relationship between you, your sponsored child, your sponsored child’s family and community. This relationship will provide a better life not only to the child but also to the whole family (if not orphaned) and the entire community as well.

2. Is Sponsorship an effective way to help?

Yes. The best way to change the life of a child is to change the world in which he or she lives. By sponsoring a child, you will help to bring about a lasting change in the child’s life and enable the child to grow up in a much happier and healthier environment. Your sponsorship helps fund areas such as healthcare, agriculture and education—whatever the community needs most. We do this through our native ministry partners and the local people. The most vulnerable children are selected by the community to be a part of the Child Sponsorship program.

3. How does my sponsored child benefit?

Your support will provide a child with supplementary nutrition, education and healthcare. It also helps the family (if present) as well as the community that your sponsored child lives in. This gives the children a chance to experience a normal, healthy and happy childhood.

4. How long can I sponsor a child?

You can sponsor the same child for as long as the child remains in the sponsorship program (often well into their teens).

5. What is Partner ID and Child ID? Do I need to mention this whenever I correspond?

When you become a sponsor, we will assign a Partner ID number to you. In the same way, your child/children will be assigned a Child ID number, which will also be sent to you. It is necessary that you mention both the Partner ID and Child ID numbers in all correspondence. It helps us to sort and process all communication quickly. It is also useful for processing transactions.

6. Will I get a progress report on my sponsored child and his or her community?

When you become a sponsor, you will receive a packet containing a photo along with the personal details of the child and his or her family and also information about the community where he/she lives. A year later, you will receive your sponsored child’s annual progress report. A community newsletter and a greeting card will also be sent to you during the year. The child will also write back to you if you write to him or her.

7. How are children chosen for sponsorship?

The most needy and vulnerable children are selected by the community group to take part in the Child Sponsorship program.

8. Can I sponsor more than one child?

Yes, you can sponsor as many children as you wish.

9. Can I write to my sponsored child?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage our sponsors to write to their children so they can get to know them and their family better. Your sponsored child can also write to you. Many sponsors and sponsored children find this a rewarding experience. If the child is very young or does not know how to write, someone will help him/her to write or the project staff will write on their behalf.

10. How often do I get updates from the child?

The children are encouraged to write to their sponsor every year. A development report and a photo will also be sent annually. Some children may choose to write more frequently.

11. Can I send extra gift money to my sponsored child?

Extra gift money either for the child’s education, medical needs or project needs is always welcome. If it is meant for the needs of a project, the benefit extends to the whole community and this is acceptable. But, extra money for a particular child or family is not encouraged as it can cause jealousy among other members of a community.

12. Can I visit my sponsored child?

Yes, you are most welcome to visit the child/children you sponsor. If/when you visit, you can also see how much has been accomplished with your sponsorship support. Kindly email Kingdom of Grace (info@kingdomofgraceministries.org) well in advance so that your visit can be arranged. In some cases, when the location is too inaccessible and the child has to be brought to meet you, then you will be responsible for the travel cost, boarding and food for the child and escort. We require all our child sponsors to go through our Child Protection Policy before visiting the child.

13. What if there is a disaster in the area where the child comes from? When would I know they are safe?

Our partners will be in contact with us should there be any immediate concerns. Once we are briefed, an update will be posted on our website.

Partnering for Hope — Empowering the Destitute

Within a few months of working as a newly certified tailor, this woman will earn enough money to move from her shack (pictured behind her) and provide a proper house for herself and her childrenThe Kingdom of Grace team took our first trip to India in March 2010. During this trip, it became clear that we were going to partner with native ministries—Daisy Global Ministries (DGM) and Hope for An Oppressed (HAO)—in all areas of need: providing wells, food and the Gospel.

Through these partnerships, we now have a constant and growing presence within the villages of Andhra Pradesh where we are working among the Dalits, the Dalit Gypsies and the slum dwellers that are known as the Untouchables—literally, the broken people.  These are the outcasts, the poorest of the poor in India. Most are uneducated, malnourished and regarded as worthless in their culture. They are those that God loves.

Partnership with Daisy Global Ministries/HAO (Hope for An Oppressed)

When planning our first trip to India, we were introduced to the family members of a dear friend, who helped plan our visit to the rural villages. This family, Dr. Usha Abraham and Dr. Pulukuri Abraham, have ministries of their own, Daisy Global Ministries and HAO Indian Ministries, respectively. While we were with them, it was clear that the Lord was bringing us together for His purposes, and we have since developed a partnership.

Kingdom of Grace Ministries is partnering with DGM and HAO in the specific areas of: Installing wells, rain harvesting, developing and distributing food to malnourished children and adults, job training for destitute women, supporting native pastors, planting churches, child sponsorship, children’s ministries and furthering the good news of Jesus Christ.  Other areas of partnership are still developing.

Daisy Global Ministries

Dr. Usha Abraham is the founder and president of Daisy Global Ministries (DGM). DGM was founded in 2004 with the mission to empower poor, needy, destitute and deprived women.

Teaching Work Skills to Escape the Cycle of Poverty

In India, there is no free education. Children of the poor never learn any skills other than manual labor. Women who lose their husbands to death or divorce have no way to provide for their needs or the needs of their children. Kingdom of Grace is partnering with Daisy Global Ministries (DGM) and HAO Indian Ministries to provide a variety of free programs to underprivileged and neglected women and children.

DGM is committed to provide a variety of FREE programs to these underprivileged and neglected women so they can become self-reliant.

Here’s a glimpse into a few of the programs that DGM offers:

  • Seamstress SchoolBeautician Training Courses: After completing the course, the women are given beautician kits so they can start earning money immediately. Many are now working in reputable parlors.
  • Sewing & Tailoring Courses: Women are given their own sewing machines upon completion of the course. They often open their own seamstress businesses from their homes after graduation.
  • Social Awareness Programs: Programs offered educate people about HIV/AIDS, Malnutrition, Female Infanticide, Social Stigma.
  • Revival & Gospel Meetings: Pastor's Retreats for the native pastors, Women’s Retreats and other organized programs
  • Home Groups: In all our programs, top priority is given to evangelism, therefore several home groups have formed as a place of spiritual growth for new believers.
  • Children’s Ministry: We distribute books, bags and school uniforms for some of the most needy students living in the slums.

After completing a certified training course, they are given the tools they need to immediately use their skills. These once-destitute women now have an honorable and profitable way to provide for themselves and their children, empowering them to escape the cycle of extreme poverty.

Hope for An Oppressed (HAO)

Dr. Pulukuri Abraham is the founder and president of HAO ministries. Dr. Abraham has been serving as CEO of this ministry amongst the needy, neglected, underprivileged and downtrodden people in Andhra Pradesh, India for the last 25 years.

HAO's Vision: The only well in the village

  • To build the capacity of downtrodden, deprived and poverty-stricken people to develop themselves for sustainability
  • To provide educational opportunities to the needy, neglected and destitute children
    and make them self-reliant
  • To provide emergency relief and rehabilitation services to the victims of natural disasters

Here’s a glimpse into the programs that HAO offers:

  • Water Well Projects: HAO has provided approximately 400 wells in drought districts so far
  • Women's Empowerment: Help for widows, women sufferers, unemployed and deserted women
  • HIV/AIDS: Programs offered educate people about HIV/AIDS and steps of prevention
  • Child Education: Providing school needs to 3,000 children, tutoring to 2,500 children and further education to 1,550 children. Seminars for children and parents to teach of the importance of education and sustainable development.
  • Disaster Management: Providing immediate help to flood and tsunami victims, along with any other natural disaster relief

These are but a few of the programs that HAO provides among the most deprived people in India.

Bringing the Good News

At the very heart of Kingdom of Grace is the compelling vision to bring the message of salvation through Jesus Christ everywhere we go and to every people group we encounter. As we go and share the love of God by caring for the poor, the orphans and widows, it is only really made complete when salvation is preached and accepted and lives are changed forever for all eternity. It is for this reason we go…to see the lost saved.

Fulfilling The Great Commission of Mark 16:16-18

And Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

By Partnering:
Through partnerships with native ministries, we are able to have a constant and growing presence within the countries/regions we are working in. Because of this, the work of the Kingdom of God is continually advancing.

By Action:
By going and providing for the needs of the poor and demonstrating the love of God by digging wells, providing food for the malnourished and caring for the orphans, widows and children.

What We Believe

The Bible is our final authority in matters of faith and practice. Therefore, the statements that follow reflect our best attempt to express what we believe, and how we are to live out that faith at this time. Upon further reflection, greater biblical insight, or increased wisdom through experience, these statements could be revised. Until such time, Kingdom of Grace Ministries has formally adopted this document as our official Statement of Faith. This action was taken in 2008.

The understanding of the Kingdom of God is the integrating motif of our understanding of the story of God, the Bible, and our theology. This has influenced the structure of this document. From beginning to end, this Statement of Faith reflects our understanding that biblical theology is eschatological in nature and this eschatological dimension is expressed in terms of the Kingdom of God.

We pray that God will bless our sincere desire and humble attempt to be ambassadors of His rule and reign through our lives, and that His will may be done on earth as it is in heaven.

1. God the King and the Holy Trinity
WE BELIEVE that God is the Eternal King. He is an infinite, unchangeable Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power and love. From all eternity He exists as the One Living and True God in three persons of one substance, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

2. God the King: The Creator and Ruler of All Things
WE BELIEVE that God's kingdom is everlasting. From His throne, through His Son, His eternal Word, God created, upholds and governs all that exists: the heavenly places, the angelic hosts, the universe, the earth, every living thing and mankind. God created all things very good.

3. Counterfeit Kingdom: Satan and Demonic Hosts
WE BELIEVE that Satan, originally a great, good angel, rebelled against God, taking a host of angels with him. He was cast out of God's presence and, as a usurper of God's rule, established a counter-kingdom of darkness and evil on the earth.

4. The Kingdom in the Creation of Man, the Fall and The Doctrine of Original Sin
WE BELIEVE that God created mankind in His own image, male and female, for relationship with Himself and to govern the earth. Under the temptation of Satan, our original parents fell from grace, bringing sin, sickness and God's judgment of death to the earth. Through the fall, Satan and his demonic hosts gained access to God's good creation. Creation now experiences the consequences and effects of Adam's original sin. Human beings are born in sin, subject to God's judgment of death and captive to Satan's kingdom of darkness.

5. God's Providence, Kingdom Law and Covenants
WE BELIEVE that God did not abandon His rule over the earth which He continues to uphold by His providence. In order to bring redemption, God established covenants which revealed His grace to sinful people. In the covenant with Abraham, God bound Himself to His people Israel, promising to deliver them from bondage to sin and Satan and to bless all the nations through them.
WE BELIEVE that as King, God later redeemed His people by His mighty acts from bondage in Egypt and established His covenant through Moses, revealing His perfect will and our obligation to fulfill it. The law's purpose is to order our fallen race and to make us conscious of our moral responsibility. By the work of God's Spirit, it convicts us of our sin and God's righteous judgment against us and brings us to Christ alone for salvation.
WE BELIEVE that when Israel rejected God's rule over her as King, God established the monarchy in Israel and made an unconditional covenant with David, promising that his heir would restore God's kingdom reign over His people as Messiah forever.

6. Christ the Mediator and Eternal King
WE BELIEVE that in the fullness of time, God honored His covenants with Israel and His prophetic promises of salvation by sending His Son, Jesus, into the world. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, as fully God and fully man in one person, He is humanity as God intended us to be. Jesus was anointed as God's Messiah and empowered by the Holy Spirit, inaugurating God's kingdom reign on earth, overpowering the reign of Satan by resisting temptation, preaching the good news of salvation, healing the sick, casting out demons and raising the dead. Gathering His disciples, He reconstituted God's people as His Church to be the instrument of His kingdom. After dying for the sins of the world, Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day, fulfilling the covenant of blessing given to Abraham. In His sinless, perfect life Jesus met the demands of the law and in His atoning death on the cross He took God's judgment for sin which we deserve as law-breakers. By His death on the cross He also disarmed the demonic powers. The covenant with David was fulfilled in Jesus' birth from David's house, His Messianic ministry, His glorious resurrection from the dead, His ascent into heaven and His present rule at the right hand of the Father. As God's Son and David's heir, He is the eternal Messiah-King, advancing God's reign throughout every generation and throughout the whole earth today.

7. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Church at Pentecost in power, baptizing believers into the Body of Christ and releasing the gifts of the Spirit to them. The Spirit brings the permanent indwelling presence of God to us for spiritual worship, personal sanctification, building up the Church, gifting us for ministry, and driving back the kingdom of Satan by the evangelization of the world through proclaiming the word of Jesus and doing the works of Jesus.
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the filling or the empowering of the Holy Spirit, often a conscious experience, for ministry today. We believe in the present ministry of the Spirit and in the exercise of all of the biblical gifts of the Spirit. We practice the laying on of hands for the empowering of the Spirit, for healing, and for recognition and empowering of those whom God has ordained to lead and serve the Church.

8. The Sufficiency of Scripture
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit inspired the human authors of Holy Scripture so that the Bible is without error in the original manuscripts. We receive the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments as our final, absolute authority, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

9. The Power of the Gospel Over the Kingdom of Darkness
WE BELIEVE that the whole world is under the domination of Satan and that all people are sinners by nature and choice. All people therefore are under God's just judgment. Through the preaching of the Good News of Jesus and the Kingdom of God and the work of the Holy Spirit, God regenerates, justifies, adopts and sanctifies through Jesus by the Spirit all who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. By this they are released from Satan's domain and enter into God's kingdom reign.

10. The Church: Instrument of the Kingdom
WE BELIEVE in the one, holy, universal Church. All who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and form the living Body of Christ, of which He is the head and of which we are all members.

11. Baptism and the Lord's Supper
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: water baptism and the Lord's Supper. Both are available to all believers.

12. The Kingdom of God and the Final Judgment
WE BELIEVE that God's kingdom has come in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, that it continues to come in the ministry of the Spirit through the Church, and that it will be consummated in the glorious, visible and triumphant appearing of Christ - His return to the earth as King. After Christ returns to reign, He will bring about the final defeat of Satan and all of his minions and works, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment and the eternal blessing of the righteous and eternal conscious punishment of the wicked. Finally, God will be all in all and His kingdom, His rule and reign, will be fulfilled in the new heavens and the new earth, recreated by His mighty power, in which righteousness dwells and in which He will forever be worshipped.

Where We've Been

Outreach

Kingdom of Grace Ministries began in 2007 simply by praying for one person at a time. People began to be delivered and experience freedom in God that they had not known before, and soon more people wanted us to pray for them. Soon there were so many requests that we began to hold meetings, and God has continued to open more and more doors for us to bring good news to those who desparately need it.

Maranatha Meetings, House Meetings, and Outreaches
From 2008 to 2010, we held regular meetings in the San Francisco Bay Area. People came to Maranatha from all walks of life. They came for healing in their body, mind, and emotions, to learn of God's love, and to encounter the real, alive and active Holy Spirit we read about in the Bible. Many people experienced healing and deliverance.

Regeneration Youth Gatherings
Regeneration Youth Gatherings were happening in Pacifica, CA, from 2007 to 2010. These gatherings were natural and organic, where kids from different towns and cities gathered for friendship, food and especially for encounters with God. They brought their friends from all around, Christian and non-Christian, so that they could experience the Love of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Gary Paltridge

Gary PaltridgeGary Paltridge is an ordained pastor and the founder of Kingdom of Grace Ministries. Gary has been in ministry for over 10 years and is passionate about sharing the Simple Gospel of Jesus, serving the lost and the poor while also fully embracing and utilizing the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

In 2002, Gary began holding meetings in San Carlos, CA. The meetings were called "Maranatha". Through worship, teaching, and ministry time lives were changed and the hurting were healed. Over the years, through these meetings, relationships and connections have been made in India and Africa. This has resulted in partnerships with native ministries and a growing work among the poorest in these countries.

Gary has two children, Jeremiah and Rosie, and lives south of San Francisco, CA.

Jennifer Laughridge

Jennifer LaughridgeJennifer Laughridge is the co-founder of Kingdom of Grace Ministries. After attending many Maranatha meetings, Jennifer knew that she wanted to one day be a part of bringing the full gospel of healing, salvation, and deliverance in the name of JESUS.

Prior to Kingdom of Grace, Jennifer has led a lifestyle of ministry. One of her favorite positions was working with Winning Our World International (WOW) in Los Angeles, CA. WOW holds "WOW JAMS" in the most impoverished and dangerous cities, bringing the light of the gospel and the salvation of Jesus. Through this ministry, Jennifer was able to live out her passion of touching those that feel forgotten and unloved with the Love of God.

Jennifer lives in Livermore, CA and enjoys spending as much time as she can with her Godchildren, Noah and Faith.
